Wisdom Teeth Removal

Wisdom teeth are located at the very back of the mouth. Some wisdom teeth come through without causing any issues, but others are problematic. Crowded wisdom teeth often lean sideways, or if there is not enough room in your mouth for your wisdom teeth to come through properly, they need to be treated by surgical extraction.

Abscess and Dental Cyst

The abscess typically comes from a bacterial infection. Left untreated these bacteria can dissolve into your blood and into your tissues as well, caused by wisdom teeth that are about to break through, inflammation of the gums or root canal treated teeth. The abscess may get larger if untreated.  Due to bacteria in the gum resulting from tooth decay, an abscess in the mouth can occur.

A dental cyst is a small fluid-filled sac that can grow without you noticing it. An infected and untreated dentigerous cyst causes distress on the gum tissue, weakening it and causing it to lose its ability to hold a tooth in place.

Tooth Extraction

Teeth extraction may be necessary for irreparable tooth damage due to severe decay, broken teeth or bone loss due to chronic periodontitis. For certain orthodontic cases tooth extraction is necessary to achieve the best results for those with extra teeth or too much crowding or in case of an infection caused by dental abscesses and dental cysts.
